( from listing's site ) - Josh Humphrey musician and luthier - I built my first guitar in 1997, my first marimbula in 2001, and have built almost 100 stringed and percussion instruments since, and repaired countless others. I view luthiery as a lifelong endeavor, and I feel lucky to do this work. I have learned from many other instrument makers, several good books, advice and discussion with many luthier friends, and research of the instruments I repair and perform. I listen extensively to music of the instruments I play and build: mainly flat-top steel-string guitar, oud, and tabla.
